Patricia Melck, the driving force behind Take the Lead Puppy School, has a deep-seated love for dogs. As a proud owner of three adorable canines herself, she understands the importance of early socialization and training. Patricia is a certified graduate of Pet Sense College’s Canine Behaviour and Training Instructor Course (2020) and has further honed her skills through supplementary courses under the tutelage of renowned trainers like Victoria Stilwell and Ian Dunbar. With Patricia, you and your puppy are set to embark on a journey towards a harmonious and well-adjusted companionship.

Puppy Training Classes

From basic commands to social interactions, our classes provide a nurturing environment where your puppy can flourish. Moreover, our curriculum is divided into two stages to cater to your puppy’s developmental needs:

Stage 1: Early Learning and Socialization

Duration: 5 weeks Age Group: Puppies under 4 months Cost: R500 per puppy Location: Strand

During this foundational stage, Patricia herself leads each one-hour session, introducing puppies to fundamental commands and crucial social interactions for their development. This approach ensures personalized attention within a small group setting, facilitating optimal learning and growth.

Transitioning seamlessly from Stage 1 to Stage 2, our curriculum evolves to accommodate your puppy’s advancing skills and needs:

Stage 2: Continued Growth and Refinement

Duration: 4 weeks Age Group: Puppies under 5 months (completion of Stage 1 required) Cost: R400 per puppy Location: Strand

Building upon the skills acquired in Stage 1, Stage 2 focuses on refining obedience commands and further enhancing socialization. Through engaging exercises and supervised interactions with fellow pups, your puppy will continue to thrive under Patricia’s expert guidance.
