Situated just 50km outside Ceres on the road to Sutherland, this sprawling farm spans 3600 hectares of picturesque plains and rugged mountain ridges, offering a tranquil retreat from the bustle of city life. Immerse yourself in the simple joys of farm living amidst breathtaking vistas of open veld and crisp, clean air. Listen to the symphony of birdcalls and keep an eye out for the occasional wildlife sighting, all under the vast expanse of the Milky Way’s starlit skies. Disconnect from modern technology as there’s no cellphone reception or Wi-Fi, allowing you to truly unwind and reconnect with nature.

Die Kliphuis

Featuring 3 bedrooms, sleeping 6 people comfortably, Die Kliphuis offers both inside and outside braai facilities with braai grid and tools for your convenience. Bedding and towels are provided, while wood for braai must be brought along. Enjoy the eco-friendly amenities including solar power for lighting and fridge, and a gas geyser for hot water. Please note, there’s a gas stove available but no oven. Additionally, electrical equipment such as kettles and hairdryers are not permitted. Please use hot and cold water sparingly due to water scarcity in the Ceres-Karoo region.

With patience and quiet observation, you might encounter a diverse array of wildlife, including Rooikat (Caracal), Jackal, Steenbok, Gemsbok (Oryx), Koedoe (Kudu), Eland, Rabbits, Grey Reebuck (Vaal Ribbok), Rock Hyrax (Dassies), Duikers, Klipspringer, and numerous bird species.
