Conveniently situated at Pinelands Primary School in Pinelands, Cape Province Dog Club offers a comprehensive range of dog training programs for canine companions of all shapes, sizes, and breeds.

What the Cape Province Dog Club Offers

Puppy Classes

Tailored for puppies aged 8 to 16 weeks, our Puppy Classes are a perfect starting point for your young canine companion. With sessions held every Saturday afternoon, you can join at any time without waiting for all inoculations to be completed. Through positive reinforcement methods, we focus on basic obedience as well as crucial socialization skills.

Beginner’s Obedience Course

Ideal for dogs aged 5 months or older, our 6-week Beginner’s Obedience Course emphasizes essential commands and leash manners. Held on Saturday afternoons, our training approach combines praise and correction techniques to instill discipline and control.

Behaviour Management Course

Geared towards adult dogs exhibiting leash aggression, our 6-week Behaviour Management Course takes place on Tuesday evenings. Using positive reinforcement methods, we guide handlers in managing reactive behavior effectively. Muzzles are recommended for dogs with a history of biting.

Additional Dog Training

Obedience Courses

For graduates of our Beginner’s Obedience or Puppy 3 Course, we offer progressive training programs including In Control Obedience, On Command Obedience, and Unleashed Advanced Obedience. Each course builds upon foundational skills and requires successful assessment completion for progression.

Agility Training

Dive into the fast-paced world of agility training, suitable for both energetic dogs and handlers. From Beginners’ to Advanced levels, our experienced instructors prepare dogs for competitive agility challenges, fostering teamwork and agility skills.

Flyball

Experience the thrill of flyball, a relay-style race sport that tests speed and agility. Following an initial assessment, teams of handlers and dogs compete in exhilarating races to retrieve tennis balls over hurdles. Suitable for dogs with high ball drive and excellent recall.

Visit our on-site dog shop, stocked with a wide range of training equipment, toys, treats, and accessories. Open on Saturdays from 11am to 4:30pm, our shop offers convenience and quality products for your canine companion’s needs.
