Self-Catering Pet-Friendly Cabins:

Embrace the freedom of our self-catering cabins, as they provide a comfortable, private space for you and your furry companion.

Franklin Cabin – An upcycled toolshed, which sleeps a family of 4 with a double and two singles. Enjoy the rad family vibes on your private deck, conveniently located near the braai area.

Jonathan Cabin – Accommodating 5 with a double, bunk bed, and a single, which offers epic vibes. Access the trance party loo and basin conveniently for an unforgettable experience.

Sylvia Cabin – Perfect for a romantic getaway, which sleeps 2 in a cosy double bed. Experience remote access to the loo and basin, especially private, setting the tone for romantic vibes.

Jack Cabin – An upcycled pigeon shed, provides a writer’s escape for 2 with single beds. Where you can immerse yourself in creative inspiration in this unique setting.

Pet-Friendly Rooms:

Wilbur Room – Ideal for a couple, features a double bed and a self-catering kitchen. The en-suite shower and loo ensure privacy, creating a perfect space for hibernating or mission-oriented vibes.

Enid Room – A kid’s bunk room, accommodates 13 with a shared shower and loo nearby. Perfect for families or teams seeking a vibrant and lively atmosphere.

Hunter Room  – A sunny retreat for 2 with a double bed, which is adjacent to the kids’ room and the kitchen. Enjoy the simple vibes of opening to an outdoor courtyard, because who doesn’t want that?

Herman Room – Accommodating 2 in a small double bed, offers an ensuite bath and loo. Open to the pizza courtyard, this room exudes historical vibes.

K Sello Room – Perfect for solo travellers, sleeps 1 in a 3/4 bed. Enjoy explorer vibes with proximity to Herman and a private door opening to infinite mountains, so it’s close but not too close!

JK Room – Designed for groups or families, which sleeps 6 with various bed options. Located next to the downstairs kitchen and toilets, it promises super fun, especially in the summer.

Activities:

Embark on Nature Therapy Thursdays with hikes catering to different fitness levels. Express your preferences, and we’ll tailor the experience accordingly. Good vibes are essential for a great time at McBains.

Don’t forget your head torch for starry nights, additionally, McBains provides clean beds, duvets, pillows, and blankets. Shared facilities include a kitchen, outdoor lounge, and deck with stunning mountain views.  Ensure a cosy stay by bringing your own towel and firewood, but ice and wood are available for purchase, and you can contribute R100 to the hot tub fund. Cash is essential for ice and wood transactions.
