After dedicating more than two decades to the restaurant industry in the United Kingdom, Amanda, a mother of two young children and an Africa enthusiast, found herself longing for the vibrant atmosphere of London. To keep herself occupied and away from trouble, she embarked on an exciting ice cream-making adventure. From her kitchen in KwaZulu-Natal, Amanda meticulously crafted small batches of luxuriously smooth ice creams and tantalizing sorbets that showcased the authentic flavors of the region. The irresistible quality of her creations left her convinced that they deserved to be shared with the public. Thus, every Saturday morning, she loaded her car and ventured out to local markets, offering her delectable treats by the scoop. And thus, Scoop was born.
