K9 Training Centre & Kennels

The inception of K9 Training Centre & Kennels took place in 1994 at the former Animal Anti Cruelty League Kennels situated on Doig Road, Ottery. The journey commenced with a single kennel assistant and a set of fifteen kennels. During this phase, all training responsibilities were undertaken by the owner-manager, Shaamil Majiet. The establishment, known as K9 Security Services, initially operated as a sole proprietorship, offering specialized security services for events, training for dog handlers, boarding services, and training for boarded dogs.

By 1995, an expansion saw the inclusion of the provision to lease trained dogs to security companies. Subsequently, in 1996, our kennels were relocated to their current location on Gunners Circle, Epping. This new site boasted a total of twenty kennels, and the team grew to include an additional trainer collaborating with Shaamil, along with a full-time night shift kennel assistant. As operations continued to expand, a full-time driver was also enlisted to facilitate transportation to and from security sites.
