Cart Horse Protection Association

The Cart Horse Protection Association, situated in Cape Town, is a non-profit organization dedicated to safeguarding the well-being of working horses and donkeys in the Western Cape. Our mission is to advance their welfare through a range of services, advocacy for legislation, educational initiatives, and training programs. Our primary focus is to prevent the mistreatment of these animals, extend outreach efforts to working horses and donkeys in the Western Cape, and establish a structured Youth Programme in the Cape Flats region.
