Breed Description

SAFE, which stands for “Taking Responsibility for Change,” is an organization driven by a group of founders with diverse backgrounds and skills. Their shared ethos revolves around making positive changes for both animals and the community. Recognizing the overwhelming number of unwanted, abandoned, and abused puppies and dogs in KZN, SAFE acknowledges that simply adopting them out is not a sustainable solution. The challenges they identified include a lack of sterilization education, a limited understanding of animal care and medical needs, and issues related to poverty and job security. In response, SAFE has established three pillars to address these challenges and drive change within their community.
