Breed Description
African Dawn began as a family interest focused on birds. They started rescuing orphaned and injured animals, leading to the growth of the sanctuary. In 1997, they opened to the public to support the cost of caring for the animals. Today, African Dawn has the largest aviary in the Eastern Cape and runs a successful rehabilitation unit. They also house endangered species as ambassador animals. Visitors are educated through information rather than hands-on interactions.
